The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust manages 34 community gardens in 10 different neighborhoods. The organization ensures that gardeners can work in safe and enjoyable gardens knowing that they are permanently protected from development.

  • How do I find out if there is a BQLT garden in my neighborhood?

    On this page you can click on the Brooklyn or Queens icon and find the exact location of all BQLT gardens. We encourage you to visit or join a group. Gardens are officially open from May 1st through the end of October.

  • How do I find out about gardening news or events in the gardens?

    To be up to date on garden happenings, get on the BQLT e-mail list. You can join on the Contact Us area of this website.

  • I am a BQLT gardener and would like to know where to meet other garden members. I want to find out what other gardens are doing; get interesting ideas??

    BQLT' Garden Operations Committee is the group to join. It meets the first Saturday of the month in different member garden locations. Meetings are during months of May through October.

    During the Winter season the committee meets at the Magnolia Tree Earth Center in Brooklyn.
